As a key component of the One UN Initiative in Viet Nam, the Joint Programming Groups (JPGs) are a unique modality to foster joint programming and to facilitate the delivery of the UN’s One Plan results in a coordinated and effective manner.
The eight JPGs are diverse in size, structure and coordination modalities and operate as a joint internal working mechanism between different UN agencies working together in a specific programmatic area (see table below) to ensure high quality coordination, institutional learning and staff development.
These are the main tasks of the JPGs:
- foster joint programming through annual work planning
- monitor expected One Plan results
- report on joint UN efforts contributing to One Plan outcomes
