Chief Technical Advisor for Mine Action

 The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites applications for the position of Chief Technical Advisor, Viet Nam Mine Action project.

The Chief Technical Advisor to the Vietnam Mine Action project is required to provide technical guidance and assistance to the Vietnam Mine Action Center (VNMAC) and other responsible partners. This will be done in conjunction with UNDP’s other technical advisors who support the VNMAC and other responsible partners.

The day to day work of the Chief Technical Advisor to the Vietnam mine action project (CTA) will be guided by the Governance and Participation Team Leader to ensure effective implementation of the projects, in consultation with the relevant national responsible partners such as the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), VNMAC.

Candidates should have Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Economics or related field, with at least 7 years relevant working experience. Knowledge of UNDP and UN system policies, programming and operational issues, as well as UN/UNDP experience is desirable.
