This factsheet provides an overview of the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) process in Viet Nam under the UN-REDD Viet Nam Programme. Viet Nam was the first country to conduct a FPIC process. The FPIC process was conducted in 78 villages of Lam Ha and Di Linh districts in the pilot province of Lam Dong because of the prevelance of ethnic minority people.
